Natural Oil Woodstain
A transparent stain for exterior timbers
- Natural Oil Woodstain is available in 17 standard colours. They are lightly tinted and transparent, allowing the timber’s natural grain to remain visible.

- Base and top coat in one finish
- Fast drying
- Transparent finish means wood grain remains visible
- Highly water and dirt resistant
- Reduces wood swelling and shrinkage
- Microporous breathable finish which does not crack, peel or flake
- In a lot of cases, sanding will not be necessary before recoating.
- Exterior use only
- Coverage: Up to 26 square metres per litre per coat. On softwoods such as cedar and pine, coverage will be less.
- No of coats: 2 is normal, however 3 may be needed on soft absorbent timbers such as cedar
- Drying time: 4 – 6 hours
- Sizes: 5ml sample sachets, 750ml and 2.5 litres
- Natural Oil Woodstain colours vary in weather and UV resistance.
- The darker colours containing more pigments have better weather and UV resistance than light colours.
- Lighter colours such as White 900 and Pearl Grey 906 have less weather and UV resistance than darker colours.
- Woodstain Clear Matt 701 has no UV resistance. See notes below.
