I bought this casting kit to capture my newborn's tiny hand and feet, but the product was a complete FAILURE.
To start, the product came with 2 completely different sets of instructions - one on the box and a totally contradictory set with the packets. To make matters worse, the packets were not labeled in English, leaving us to guess which one was the molding powder and which was the casting plaster. Because of this guessing game, our first attempt went completely wrong and was ruined. We tried the second time with the remaining material, but this time, the mold simply wouldn't set - we followed the instructions on the box. We waited for over 15 minutes but it remained useless. Newborns naturally move, and a formula that expects a baby to stay completely still for that long is entirely unrealistic and unforgiving for a DIY infant project. Even after 20 min the mold was still not set/dry.
When we reached out the company to explain the issues with their confusing instructions and unlabeled packaging, they provided absolutely no help or solution. This was a massive waste of money and a deeply frustrating experience. SAVE YOUR ONEY AND LOOK FOR A HIGHER-QUALITY ALTERNATIVE.
