  • Amazing Clear Cast Casting Resin - 473ml Clear Epoxy Resin, Made in USA by ALUMILITE. Easy to use and long lasting. This package contains two 236ml bottles of clear coating and casting resin (mix portions out of each bottle together in order to create a casting). It is used to make extremely detailed designs out of mould or as a protective layer of tumblers and coasters

    For tumblers and glassware

    This epoxy works great, super clear even when used on glassware, only a little heat to remove any bubbles. I use almost straight away with out thickening and it levels perfectly without dropping off. Dries overnight in the cold, and completely hardens within 24 hours also in the cold.

    For Plates

    I used this epoxy as a carrying medium for gold mica powder in an attempt to make food-safe kintsugi (japanese gold-line patched broken pottery). It would probably be excellent for a self-leveling application, but it is quite runny for the use I was trying to put it to. It did work after leaving it to set for about an hour to thicken, but it wasn't ideal. That is likely mostly because it wasn't quite the intended use. Lovely and clear though! And not inclined to bubble much when stirred initially (it did bubble when stirred after it started to thicken of course).

    This resin is a lot thicker than others and has lots of bubbles but it is food safe and does turn out really well.

    In this case, you can give a little heat next time, it will help mixing and bubble removal.
